Annual Reports
The Drug Court Oversight Subcommittee became a standing subcommittee of the Countywide Criminal Justice Coordination Committee (CCJCC) in May, 1995. The subcommittee was established to:
- Determine site selection criteria for expansion of the drug court program;
- Continue development of Countywide Drug Court Standards and Practices;
- Make recommendations, based on established site selection criteria, as to which courts/regions should receive funding obtained through CCJCC;
- Oversee the Countywide data collection and evaluation of all drug court programs;
- Develop strategies to increase the availability of local drug treatment funding resources which are dedicated to the drug court program.
The Drug Court Oversight Subcommittee membership is comprised of:
- Presiding Judge, Los Angeles Superior Court
- Presiding Judge, Los Angeles Juvenile Court
- District Attorney
- Public Defender
- Los Angeles Police, Chief
- Sheriff
- Chief Probation Officer
- President, Los Angeles County Police Chief’s Association
- Chief, Los Angeles County Alcohol and Drug Program Administration
- Department of Mental Health
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each odd month at noon. The chair of the Drug Court Oversight Subcommittee gives bi-annual reports to CCJCC regarding the status of drug courts and prepares an annual report to the Board of Supervisors on drug courts each year.
