California Victim Rights Overview

The State of California maintains a fund to assist local prosecuting agencies with the cost of protecting witnesses in criminal actions. Individuals who are providing testimony in a criminal case and believe protection is necessary as a result of threats or acts of intimidation should immediately contact the investigating law enforcement agency or the prosecuting agency handling the case.
